I was thinking of having a volcano biome.
Generally, it would be composed of dirt, stone and one or two trees near the border.
The volcano itself would be in the middle of the biome, made out of dirt and stone, and erupt every time it rains or snows in other biomes. The lava would cover roughly 78% of the map, and the lava would be about 30 blocks away from the border of the biome. (The biome would always be set to 100x100.)
A good idea? Or not? Please tell me.
Wouldn't this be better as a mountainous biome? I'm so dreadfully tired of seeing "volcano biomes".
The reason is simple. A volcano is a mountain. Just simply one with a bit of trouble keeping it down. It would be more realistic and appealing to see a mountainous landscape with a spotted occurance of a volcano than a volcanic biome which would freak me out, especially if the volcanic biome was near a large forested biome.

He said that the lava would be far enough away from the edge of the map that forest fires wouldn't be a problem. I do agree with the idea of a mountanous biome, (A large one, more like 250X250) with maybe a 1/5 for there to be a volcanoe in that entire biome.
