As you know in the 1.8 update were going to get NPC villages. I read somewhere on the wiki that someone got a bacon cape but they got rid of it bla bla bla. Well, I was thinking that Lucky people who deserved it got their skin and username made into a NPC. there would also be the other npc's, like bob, but that would be cool to go find a village and see honeydew as mayor.
I wonder if anyone else has thought about maybe npc villages dosn't mean npc's? Techniccally an NPC Village is a Village that gets randomly spawned. And notch didnt actually say anything about npc's.
And there were supposed to be NPC Pigmen to trade with. Also, NPC means Non-Player-Character, so technically, EVERY creature and mob and animal and such in the game is an NPC

That will never happen. In the future, when the game is released, there will be no major programming changes, aside from expansions. So an NPC mod would be very easy to use then
There are plenty of mods out there that come with tameable mobs. For example, check out the new Pokemobs mod. That would be a good Mod for you to try out! Also the Millenaire mod pretty much solves your NPC villages. Randomly spawned. OR, just wait till 1.8 for Vanilla villages =] Hope I helped!

But I agree, we do need more tameable mobs.
