i was playing today and during pig madness, i wondered: why do pigs doesn't flee away when i hurt them? and then why not all the pigs near from 10 block radius? and that's what i wanted to suggest today. it's not a suggestion but a bunch of changes that could be really gameplayfull for the game and it would fit easily with i. so, here they are:
1: passives mobs such as squid, pig, cow, chicken and sheep will flee if they get hurt "Edit! by Mats23: or if a arrow land next to them (1 block from it)" and if they are in 10 block radius away from other sheep (ex)
2: squid will flee underwater more quickly than walk speed on earth making ink sack more hard to obtain
3: agressives mobs esept zombies in day will flee sunlight and reach the hightest shadow level they can find in a 20 block radius meaning that you could have a mob in your cave evrytime
4: sneaking behind animals and hitting them will knock them and they'll not move for 3 sec
5: animals will hide behind blocks sich as trees until you see them again (shifting will not make them flee)
ps: the changes bellow will only apply on medium and hard difficulty
1: agressibe mobs on earth such as slimes, skeleton and spider will flee creeper and endermen in a 5 block radius to reach a min of 15 block radius away and imediately step back when creeper is charged or going to explode
2: pigzombies in nether will flee ghast if a ball explode somewhere near them by 6 block
3: pigzombie and skeleton will have sword and bow&arrow (35% of spawned will get bow&arrows) and will shoot 25 to 30 arrows and will switch to stone sword and you will be abble to get the arrows on the ground
vote, approve my idea if you want and comment if you have better idea.
I think fleeing animals would be a wonderful addition, but rather than make it be set to a distance, how about set it so that the animal flees by a random path, and stops when it can't see you, such as if it's passed behind a tree or the crest of a hill.

I do like the idea of mobs fleeing, but not all of them, mainly the animals. It could make hunting animals alot more fun, let's say they flee if they get hit or an arrow lands next to them, so you have to chase after them.
Yup. I tend to sensor because I'm technically still swearing, but I'm still following the rules. To an extent.
I'm fairly sure you are allowed to swear, you just can't use it to make derogatory comments towards or about users. So ironically, while you censored yourself it could still be reported as flaming. I would never do that, as anyone who is telling people to write legibly is a good guy in my book.
On topic: I like the ideas you have laid out here. I think all hostile mobs except the zombie should run for shade when the sun rises. It would give the game a bit more challenge.

Except the zombies shouldn't flee anything. They don't care. They just want your brain.
