The other day my friend and I were playing on minecraft, trying to create a massive tree. To our disadvantage, we have lava all around our base and by happen-chance the tree got a little...to close. One fire started and it picked up very quick. I have no mods so I had to make my way up the tree normally, but anyways. I eventually came to the conclusion that water would help, so I poured at least sixty buckets of water all over the top of the tree. (The tree was roughly...50x40xMax-we just kept using dirt blocks, plants, then bonemeal)
In any case, the fire was stopped but the majority of the large tree was completely gone. Now there was just so much water pouring all over our base, and a lot of our redstone circuits were damaged (Primarily our gate and stairway). For the next hour we worked on making pathways to get around and inside base and also containing the water outside (Water was seriously everywhere.)
At first it was pretty annoying, but then as we continued on, it started to feel as if we were hit with a hurricane of some sort (Minus the literal damage that would just happen from winds)
[Ironically, the server is called Palmacosta- for those who have played Tales of Symphonia)]
In any case, we have the majority of it cleaned up now, but it made me think about the addition of some sort of "Disaster Mode" that could be switched on an off. What it would contain, I am not very sure, but in basic essence- it is something that sweeps over the land and causes widespread destruction (not like 50 TNT, please no- something bearable). Well this was my idea, if anyone wanted to say something for or against, I would love to see others ideas on it.
-Thanks!
PugRme- Sorry about that I was in a hurry and just registered to place the idea; I will be more careful next time. SoulSuckingJerk- Thanks! Ombar69- My mistake seems to be a recurring theme haha. Yes, I will make sure to do so next time. My apologies- thanks though! MobKiller- Thank you! Ah it happens lol; we basically have it under control now thankfully- Our mistake for making a tree next to lava :sleep.gif:;
