Okay, I know that indev and infdev were removed in September 2010, and then the survival in April 2011. Also Alpha went into Beta in about November 2010, but i never knew it before Alpha 1.0.0 and even though we have Classic, i want to go back. Minecraft's past has interested me and i want to see what it was like, who doesn't?
Like the title says: This is an "Out There" idea, just something to think about once, make your vote, and forget about (unless Notch does what I describe below)
If Notch were to do this, what i would prefer, is to see, an archive of all of the Minecraft versions from Classic 0.0.9 to Beta 1.7.3, you would install the game and launch it, it would make the files (blah blah blah) and when you close it, all of the files are deleted. I think this way we could go back and see something we like then go to notch and say "Remember in version 0.53 of infdev when you removed gears? Maybe you should incorperate gears with redstone to turn a conveyor belt in 2.0!" This could improve minecraft an a HUGE level and make it a fantastic indie game.
Remember: just an idea, no need to hate or take it seriosly.
It would be an interesting concept, to see old features, just to feel the nostalgia. However, older versions were also buggier versions, with less of the things we have now. I have a split opinion about this.
