So, you make new world, you punch some trees, make a house, kill a pig, a cow, maybe some sheep, you mine, you go to sleep, the next morning you kill the leftover creepers and watch the zombies burn, then you go to your infinite water pool made of 4 cubic meters of infinite water...what's wrong here? Infinite water may seem like a good thing, but sometimes, it can get really annoying, like exploring caves or when farming obsidian. For you people who are gonna troll and tell me something like, "oh what about my wheat farm and my food generator? Stupid nOOb doesn't even know what he's saying GTFO" You're the nOOb here. You can use a little something called PUMPS. If the finite water mod were added to Minecraft, it would be that much more fun and awesome, and realistic too. Now, it would be even more awesome if reflective and refractive properties were added to water, but... is that even possible on a runtime as bloated and laggy as Java?

I really don't think you wanna start the "well if minecraft was realistic then..." arguments. water was made infinite for a reason. To create more water sources for when you need them in deep caverns. And when you mine obsidian, nobody places enough water to have a problem like that. one bucket of water. you're exaggerating that as a problem.
The finite water mod lags horribly. Adding it into Minecraft would cause many players that use slow computers to not be able to play anymore. Eventually, when computers become much faster in a few years, realistic water can be added.

use water pumps to fix that problem. Those will be avaiable if the finite water mod is added.
