I would like the capability of putting a clock on a wall
When you break a boat, it should break into a boat, so you can reuse it instead of building another one
A lantern would be neat, if it lasts forever but just needs refueled. Gold lanterns burn oil slower than iron ones
I was thinking of uses for slime balls, and came up with - Add slimeball to redstone to get paste, which allows current to go up walls
Rope
Rope can be made with six string, three on top and three right below it.
String needs to be easier obtained, so growing flax might be a cool idea.
Below are some things made from rope
Hook - a hook isn't made with rope, but allows things to be hung on walls or the ceiling.
Chandelier - Hanging down from any ceiling, a chandelier can add light and glamour into a room.
Rope ladder - the rope ladder can hang straight down, no matter if there is a wall or not. If you right click on the top of the ladder with a rope ladder, it will add ladder to the bottom of it.
Rope Bridge - Similar to the ladder, if you right click on it, it will go out in a specific direction. So you can walk across things easier.
Connected minecarts - Add a hook to any minecart to connect multiple carts together. This will be more efficient for transportation of goods and people.
Whip - allows you to control animals when riding on them, so they will go in a certain direction.
The Pulley System
The pulley system allows items to be transferred straight up or down and put in chests.
The idea is that you make a wheel (see list below) and place it on a wall. Make another one and put it directly above it. Add rope in between it, by using the technique like bridges and ladders, and then you have an empty pulley. Add an open chest next to it on top or bottom. Right click the pulley with a bucket, and then right click it again to open the buckets free inventory of 1 space. Put your item(s) in the bucket, and press a lever on the wall next to it to send it up into the chest up top.
Wheel - The wheel is for a pulley system, or maybe even (in a later update) a cart that goes on flatland or downhill (requires use of animal, or engine?)
Open Chest - A chest without a lid so the pulley can dump items directly into it.
The only one I approve of is the clock on the wall. However, a farm of some sort should be craftable, maybe the same as a painting with planks instead of wool. Then you place that on the wall and right click with an item in your hand to place said item on the frame. Visually pleasing signs that don't have to use text. Rather than having a sign that says "Food" you can put a picture of wheat or pork.

I can't think of a clever signature.
