I don't know why Notch hasn't added this feature and I haven't found a single mod that does this. We seriously need a gate mod, and by gate I mean gates for fences. How hard can it be? People just need to reskin the door's texture. But no, everyone decides not to make a farm gate mod, and Notch isn't adding one. For Notch's sake, doors look so stupid next to fences. Maybe people are thinking how to make a gate look realistic when it's open or shut, but honestly, Minecraft breaks half the laws of science. Just don't have the gate connected to the fence. Anyway, my main point is, ADD SOME FENCE GATES FOR MINECRAFT!!! Like, ASAP.
Actually I read on jeb's twitter(I think) that gates are more difficult than just re-skinning doors. Since the fence post is in the middle of a block and not on any end.
I have two words , chill out. Anyways , Notch is going to add them soon , they are just delayed and do you mind researching before you post a rage topic about something that you want added now? You don't own Minecraft.

Firstly, it is not a rage topic. Big letters means Notch might have a bigger chance of reading it. Secondly, this was written before 1.7 and Notch was not planning whatsoever to have gates. But since we have them confirmed, case closed.
