Tin: Silver colored ore, unusable in tools and armor, can be made into tin blocks, which a less shiny iron blocks pretty much. -same rarity as gold-
Copper: Shiny brown colored ore, usable in tools but not armor. Speed of stone, durability between that of stone and iron. Can take the same function as redstone, but can climb up walls (also, no torches or stuff, just wiring, usually only for going up walls). Redstone and copper can connect to each other and still work. -rarity in between that of gold and iron-
Bronze: Crafted with two copper with one tin, very similar color to copper. Usable in tools and armor. Tools: speed of iron, durability in between that of iron and diamond. Armor: durability of slightly more than iron. Can be made into shiny brown (basically "bronze/copper colored") blocks.
Feel free to give ideas to improve this before I suggest it to Notch (has anyone else suggested this before? I’m not sure…). :biggrin.gif:
Seems too much like Runescape, and now would only make it a little bit unnecessarily complicated. Maybe steel or reinforced iron would be a better choice for a new metal.
Just adding three more tool/armor sets is unnecessary, they would have to have some other use for Notch to even consider adding them to the game + Calum1000 is right, there are several other topics concerning this.
ha, nice. and I think these are the best for the materials, having wiring, and blocks, and strength, and such, I think this is the most realistic and reasonable...
What are you talking about? I thought of this myself, if somebody else thought of it first, it's not my fault for not reading every forum post ever existing...

It's a little something I like to call... I used the search bar after I posted, and saw that adding bronze to copper would make it a lot better....
willi03: actually, two sets of tools (one RARELY used), and one set of armor. Plus good building materials...
Iron is stronger than bronze. Your suggestion is logically flawed. please use the search bar before posting, and don't ask to add redundant items.
That'd give 30-40% more durability to it. You could do this with anything surrounding anything to reinforce by a certain amount
Also making a repair bench, like so:
The interface would be:
Where the stick is a sort of repair bar
Top would be the tool
Bottom would be an ingot or a diamond
The time it takes to repair is long, though. It would take 5-10 min. And you cannot repair diamond.
Things:
[Tool repaired] [Time/wood] [time/stone] [Time/iron] [time/gold] [time/diamond]
Wood: 2 min, 1 min, 30 sec, 10 sec, Why would you use that? (1 sec)
Stone: N/A, 3min, 1 min, 30 sec, 10 sec
Iron: n/A, n/A, 4 min, 3 min, 1 min
Gold: n/a, 10 min, 1 min, 10 sec, 5 sec
If you're a small map maker, send me a PM and if it's good enough I'll advertise it in my sig.

Don't you mean Bronze<Iron? Not bronze is greater than iron?

!> = is not greater.
therefore, my statement is correct.
bronze !> iron = bronze is not better than iron/
Don't steal peoples ideas...
