So I was thinking, it might be cool if Notch or Jeb made it so that if you fell onto wool you don't take fall damage, not like a 100block fall not taking damage but maybe an 8 block max drop would allow you to avoid all fall damage if you land on wool. I think it would give wool a bit more usefulness and even allow for some fun. Also, I had always hoped that slimeballs could be used to create trampolines that look like slimes minus the face. They could be crafter 2x2 or 3x3 depending on how strong they are. They would pop you up maybe 8 blocks so that if you jump off them onto wool you could void fall damage making it, imo, very balance. Tell me what you think.
Wool should reduce the calculated fall height by a set amount like 3 meters or something.
Fall damage is calculated by y=0.5(x-3) where y is the damage you receive and x is the distance fallen.
If you fall on wool the damage could instead be calculated by y=0.5(x-6).
