Notch should add a stove so that when you get any type of food like of food like cake pork chops and stake you should have to cook them on a stove because isn't a furnace like 1,000 degree's isn't it.
....A furnace is different temperatures, depending on what you put in it...Most people use coal in it, and coal is what people make barbecues out of(NOT Hank Hill style)

But propane gives you a nice, smooth grill!!! Propane!!
On topic: We don't need a stove. Furnace double as ovens.
I would like to see a stove that made cooking a bit more convenient. Right now, cooking is annoying because you can't stack the ingredients – you have to sit there and move the ingredients manually. A stove might give you a 3x3 space to place ingredients, allowing you to set and forget it. Of course, the stove wouldn't smelt ore or anything of that sort. In addition, it might be reasonable to decrease the efficiency of the fuel use (perhaps requiring 150% of the fuel to do the same work) to offset the greater convenience.

You make it sound like Minecraft is designed to be realistic. Hey, while we're at it, why don't we make every block respond to gravity? >_<
Dear lord no, a furnace is a furnace. It cooks and smelts things. That is all.
We should also stop making tools out of rare and valuable materials such as diamond and gold. In fact, let's not have booster tracks made of gold. What the heck is redstone anyways? That's not realistic, sending signals via dust. Let's take away the blocky structure as well. Now Minecraft is realistic.

Actuall I disagree people do make tools out of diamond, gold, iron etc for example some chainsaws have diamond on the end to make it sharper and cut better and some fancy rail lines are layered in tiny specs of gold plus to top this all off redstone is basically electrical currents... p.s. Blocks are awesome.

Actual diamonds are used in drills (in some cases) for their amazing density. LOL.
If anything, it would be an oven made from either sandstone, smoothstone, or stone bricks. It would look like a brick oven with the oven part on the bottom. How would I know? Minicraft. :tongue.gif:
Though, the Furnace is always going to cook food.

I am meowing at my lung’s fullest. I would even argue that the echo that reverberates back to me is the voice of someone I know…

[quote=Badgerz]You have to keep in mind that people are stupid.
[quote=Catelite]Just because you don't understand how something works, doesn't make it broken or pointless. >_<
