During daylight, many mobs frolick, the evil mobs wait in their dungeon for night to come, and all is merry. What's this? A cute little animal that ressembles a rabbit? Well, it's cute. Let's take it into my house!
... The worst mistake you'll make.
Farsee'ers are mobs that look like a rabbit (I don't know exactly how to get a picture like it, just think of a rabbit with a very sad face) during day. At night, the Farsee'ers turn a black color, and turn hostile. However, unlike most mobs, these mobs attack you a very different manner.
Instead of just slamming into you like a stupid person, this mob will attempt to glare at you.
"Glaring? Lethal? Heh, that sounds like a dangerous mob!"
When it glares, it's eyes slowly turn red. When it turns entirely red, NEVER make eye contact with it. The second you look at it, your cursor will lose sensitivity greatly. The Farsee'er attacks by turning your screen red. When that happens, you slowly lose hearts when your screen becomes red. You slowly lose the red by not looking at it. It will do quite a lot of things to try and stare at you.
"Pfft, this mob is OP! What if I accidentally glare into one?"
This mob won't glare at you under the certain conditions....
-It's already looking at someone
-It's in the sun
-It's no closer than 3 studs to you
-You don't make eye contact with it altogether.
At daylight, the Farsee'er transforms, leaving you at peace. Of course, in this form, those who punish it are punished as well. Severely. When you attack a Farsee'er, it dies in the sun, and your screen turns red for 10 seconds. It does x2 the damage it would do if normally glaring at you.
Farsee'ers in the Dark CAN be damaged, not through a physical manner, but by your Best Friend.
The Torch.
When a Farsee'er looks at the torch, it will flash red, as if taking damage, and it will lose it's red glare.
"This mob is tooe asy to kill, and is OP!"
For those of you who say it's Over Powered.....
-The Farsee'er slowly damages you over time as your screen turns a red hue.
-The Farsee'er spawns only in Normal mode.
-Notch can decide the damage it does.
-The shade of hue has 3 levels; Light, partial red, and Red. Light does less damage than Partial Red, and that does less than Red. Red does the most damage.
-Farsee'ers stick with one person, and will not attack more than 1 person at a time.
-Farsee'ers can be killed with the Deciever's Wand.
A Deciever's wand has 60 durability. It cannot be repaired, and damages a Farsee'er. It doesn't damage other mobs, and only affects the Farsee'er. It can also kill a Farsee'er without consequences during the day. This item, despite the name, only works at short range.
Long Stick
[AIR][AIR][AIR]
[AIR][STICK][AIR]
[AIR][STICK][AIR]
Long Sticks don't work as damage, and will snap. They cannot be "Held" in your hand without snapping [Which drops a single stick, getting rid of the Long Stick]. Altogether, if they're in your inventory, it will not be affected.
When you Craft a Hollow Stick, the Shears lose [PICK PLZ, not ot be voted in posts] SOME durability. Hollow Sticks, like Long Sticks, will snap. But only if used as a weapon. They won't break if you hold them in your hand.
Hollow Sticks and Long Sticks both, alike, cannot be used for weapons. They are also only used in this recipe for crafting.
(Deciever's wand can be put in any order, as long as it's connected with the arrow)
Deciever's Wandabee is like the Deciever's wand, but it fires Arrows. These arrows can damage mobs, but they won't damage them very greatly. It will NEVER kill the mob. These damage the Farsee'ers just like the Deciever's Wand. It has the same durability as a bow.
(TierSword is any Tier sword. It does the damage of the same tier)
Decierver's Sword acts JUST like a sword, but it does more damage against Farsee'ers. It also has the same durability of the tier sword, and it does the same damage against the Farsee'er.
"THIS MOB IS LIKE [suggestion]!!!"
Well, compare this to that. If THAT has many different effects,
then it's not the same. That would be like calling Diamond and Coal the same.
<(:sleep.gif:)> Please give Honest criticism. I spent a long time typing this up, along with thinkiing it up. I often try to reply to any posts that people put up, to clear up their post or just to make a nice comment.
Firstly, thanks for not killing my beloved ponies :happy.gif:
Secondly, I think the mob has some good potential, the change in sensitivity is genius, but I'm not so keen on the sitting and staring at you thing.
Perhaps a mob that moves towards you fairly slowly, but causes severe disorientation when further away, including largely raised sensitivity, and walking is a little harder (you stumble around a little). Meaning you have to man up and face it.
The sensitivity is the only thing I really love, the rest is good but I dont feel it would fit in. Also, the items are not needed at all I feel.
Firstly, Your welcome... I guess?
Secondly, The entire deal with the name was that it was supposed to examine Steve closely before finally driving Steve to insanity. It was actually suppposed to make it harder for the player to actually escape from the Farsee'er. I was trying not to make it sound like the Enderman Distortion thread (Which I do support by the way).
Well, the items (Except for the Deceiver's Sword, to be deleted) are to prevent instant kills from it. Diamond Swords are pretty dangerous against normal mobs, let alone these weak mobs. These mobs, if you take away the invulnerability from it, you could kill it with a Wooden Sword, maybe even an Arrow. (Shot or attacked with up close) could kill it in a single strike.
The whole trick is to make it so that it's actually DECEIVING the player into thinking it was a strong mob. When, in actuality, it's weak.
Sounds epical, reminds me of a rabbit that got in my house on terraria, i was protecting it from the slimes when it turned night, it was a blood moon XD if ya know what i mean.

Redstone enthusiast for hire. If you need any help feel free to drop me a PM. My creations
You got most of the mob idea from the Enderman/Farlanders, so no. Too much like the Endermen with the staring.
Comparing the threads...
Enderman:
Stare to drive you into insanity, causing visual effects.
Farsee'ers:
Stare to casue you damage, thus posing an actual threat.
There are quite a many differences anyways. Farsee'ers are rabbits anyways. They don't ressemble Enderman very much, I even illustrated it with MS paint.... But of course, I have no [censored]ing idea how to upload it.
On the on, Farsee'ers are a danger to Griefers. They pose a new threat to people who walk near lit up houses. Farsee'ers make a bit of a howling sound when they approach a player.

Hehhehhehehehehehhehe..... I hate the Blood Moon.... D: Evil little bunnehs... Trying to kill me.... Fluffy?.... FLUFFY?!?!?!?!
I'd honestly appreciate it if people gave me more help on how to improve this. It started off as a mob that was a major threat for the curious, but it improves the more you guys post. The more everybody posts, the more we gain for the idea. If I find a hole in my thread, I will improve it.
