Oh, add the link too.
the other 9 request left, will come out soon.
Your playing minecraft (Lets say 1.6.6 with mods) and you love it, but Minecraft Beta is now 1.7.
You quickly run the "Auto Update" and then it download the file, you shout "DAMN! MY Mods, pets, nice houses are all GONE!"
That's we will talk about. Req. #1-3
1. Before logging in theres an option right? Add an Back-up before downloading the update files, like Moving the WHOLE ".minecraft" to ".minecraft/(version)/(date)/.minecraft"
2. When downloading theres a "Stop Button, Pause, Continue." When downloading that will not replace the files in ".minecraft" The downloads will go to ".minecraft/Update/Temorary" folder, when done downloading, there will be a Prompt to "Install it right now; Yes or No"
If Yes:
It will make the Backup
and install the update
If no:
The temporary file will be there
it will not download the files again, it will just "prompt" you again, if you "Force-Update"
3. If theres an Update (Online) there will be a Notification that show's "Theres an Update 1.X.X"
if no Internet (offline) Internet in minecraft will Deactivate means make Faster
and theres a Notification that shows "Offline Mode"
Sounds Awesome :smile.gif:
Im taking my own backups since i install LOTS of mods and i dont want to lose them, but i would have been great if minecraft did it. Seriusly, In 1.6.6 i overmodded it :blink.gif:
