I realise its probably a litlle late in the game to change anything but i think notch has been updating all wrong. The massive updates with tons of new things are fun, but they can lead to problems. Lots of glitches at once can get past them without notice and go into the general public. However if notch released new updates in small stages say just a new block with no perpose and then add bits and pieces to make it work every little error would be noticed one at a time instead what happens is he adds 20 blocks and a new mob and then spends the next week being flooded with error reports caused by people who have way too much time. Not only would small updates be easier to keep up with it would mean lots less work for notch and more fun for the player

It's Beta. It needs large updates and should be easy to understand. When it finally gets off of beta. maybe small updates will be needed. But i dont think small updates would help.
Alright, I see the merit in your idea. But the problem becomes there is much less, shall we say, change to the game in such a way that makes the player feel he/she is playing it for the first time again. I like huge updates where the are dozens more things to do and you feel lost and confused which for some of us leads to the thrill of discovery (on a massive scale.) I don't want that taken away from me.

2 words...........BETA STAGE.They need massive updates across large time frames so people can enjoy mods a little more and allow mod makers more time to make their mods available to the new updates, like the big 1.8 update coming in a few weeks, maybe a few months.Doing small updates will not allow people to enjoy their hard-earned epic worlds for a good length of time.NO....WAY...
