The Nether is alright, and the future sky dimension is exciting, but I want more. I want some new mobs and items. I want new dimensions!
The Shadowrealm
The Shadowrealm is a bleak world that is almost all dark.
It would be accessed by building a portal out of soul sand, and throwing a snowball on it (at least until I think of something better). The portal itself would look like The Shadowrealm is a flat world with occasional quicksilver pools, spires of stone, and unique mobs.
The Mobs
The Shadowrealm is populated by 3 different mobs: The Reaper, the Shade, and the Harpy. The Reaper is a skeleton that wields a scythe.
It can jump 3 blocks high and far, and deals 4 damage. The Reaper has 10 health and drops silver ore, which can be used to craft armor of the same durability as iron and lessens the damage of all attacks by 1, to make silver swords to kill shades, and to make mirrors:
With iron, of course, being silver. This makes 2 mirrors. Mirrors reflect light and are used in solar panels and to make slanted mirrors by putting 2 mirrors diagonally.
The Shade is a being of shadow, almost invisible in the darkness of the Shadowrealm. It can only be killed by a silver sword.
Shades drop shadow dust, which can be used in crafting shadow blocks by putting 4 in a square. Shadow blocks have a light level of -15, in that they absorb light in a pattern like light. It a shadow block is in daylight, it reduces a block around it to a light level of 0, 2 blocks from it to a level of 1, et cetera.
Harpies are flying mobs that swoop down at you, dealing 2 hearts of damage. They have 15 hearts and drop wings, which allow you to jump
5 spaces high. They have a durability of around 140.
The Terrain
Quicksilver is a silvery liquid that gives off a light level of 9 and spawns in almost circular pools 8 wide and 3 deep. It deals 1/2 heart
of damage at a pace similar to fire. Quicksilver can be bucketed and used in a variety of crafting recipes. Iron and quicksilver crafted together will make 1 gold bar and leave you a bucket. Mercury can also be used in crafting solar panels:
With lava being mercury, and gold being slanted mirrors. This leaves you 3 buckets. Solar panels detect a light level of 15 and send a current. Quicksilver doesn't flow, however. Quicksilver, when brought into contact a redstone current, will transmit an arc of electricity to the nearest mercury if it is within 5 blocks and there is nothing in between. The current will then be transferred to any adjacent redstone wire, and the electricity arcing between will deal 4 hearts of damage.
Another defining feature of the Shadowrealm is the spires of stone. These are almost inaccessible, but for the passageways inside it.
They have treasure on the top, but are protected by Harpies. The treasure is a chest with a 1/16 chance of a gold apple, a 1/8 chance of a quicksilver bucket, a 5/16 chance of cocoa beans, and a 1/2 chance of a music disc, but is very hard to reach.
Please suggest a name
Now, for the *Name Pending*. It is a world that is completely forested. To travel to it, you need to make a frame out of leaves, and place shadow dust in it.
It has trees that can be up to 30 blocks tall, cannot be set on fire (though their leaves can be) and whose leaves can survive for 6 blocks away. It also has willows on the water's edge, and cocoa trees. These trees can only be chopped with an axe, and are chopped slower than usual. When chopped, you get hardwood, which is crafted into 4 boards. Boards can be crafted into everything planks can and more, and have a higher blast resistance.
The Terrain
The terrain of *Name Pending* is mostly that of a jungle, with rivers and pools (the rivers aren't flowing) throughout.
The trees drop saplings (at a 3.125% chance per leaf, though leaves are plentiful) which can be brought back to and grown in the regular world. they require hydrated farmland to grow, and grow in stages: The size of a normal tree, 10 blocks tall, and finally 30 blocks tall. There is also rice in the rivers, which requires water surrounding it on all sides to grow, but cannot grow with water above it. The rice can be destroyed once fully grown (after 7 stages like wheat) with an 87.5% chance of giving 1 rice (which looks like white cocoa beans), and a 12.5% chance of giving 2. Rice can be planted to grow, and crafted into steamed rice like this:
Cocoa trees grow rarely, half as tall as the other trees. When farmed, you must use bonemeal on them or they will remain saplings. They have red cocoa pods on their edges, which can be harvested only with shears. They can be used in a crafting table to get cocoa beans. Another feature of *Name Pending* is the undergrowth, which can be walked through at the cost of health. It covers the ground and can be burnt. Undergrowth deals 1 heart of damage (but only to you) when you walk through it, and can be destroyed with a machete, which allows you to harvest it.
The Mobs
The mobs of *Name Pending* are particularly viscous. There are the piranhas, living in the stagnant rivers and pools.
They attack you and deal 2 hearts of damage. They drop nothing. Another mob is the boar. It has 10 hearts of health and deals 3 damage. It drops porkchops and tusks. Tusks can be crafted into a machete:
With the bone being a tusk and the diamond being any tiered material. It deals 1 heart starting at the wooden tier, and 1/2 damage more going up. It can be used to harvest undergrowth.
Theres alot already being done with new things with a lot more content than what you have right now. Try to keep going in depth with your ideas and add more stuff so the new realms have a lot of interesting things that make them different from the other(s).
