People really liked my steel woo idea, so here goes another:
You know how you can place redstone powder? what about every other powder?
1. Zombies would drop dust, not feathers
2. Gunpowder "wire" would lure and be eaten by creepers (they would treat the trail like players, spawn nearby, run towards, etc.)
3. Dust "wire" would work for undead the same way
4. Sugar would work for living mobs
5. Glowstone Dust would make soft light
6. Gunpowder could also be used as a wick, 2 sec. delay for each meter of powder. Set the first on fire, burns down the line.
There would have to be a way for a wick not to spawn creepers nearby, but otherwise it works. Any problems or powders I missed?
hmmmm. I was thinking that gunpowder should just explode, but i like your bait idea... maybe you could craft creeper bait with crafting or something same with other powders... but anyway i give it a...
Nice ideas, but I don't like the part about gunpowder being Creeper bait. I don't want to set up a long TNT fuse, set it off, fail to get the anticipated explosion, investigate the fuse, find that a creeper has eaten it, and get blown up by said creeper.
