So, i was brainstorming for ideas that notch could use for minecraft, and here is what i came up with:
1: Iron Rods
Basically, you use the same recipe that you use to make sticks to make the Iron Rods. Iron rods could be used for framing (in later objects put in the game, like openable windows), for conducting electricity, and for making iron fencing.
2: Iron Fencing
All it is is a nicer looking version of a fence. pretty much cosmetic.
3. Openable Windows
I think it would be cool to have openable windows. Just a thought.
4. Sliding Glass Doors
There would be several versions of the glass door. #1 is where it just looks like a 2x2 square of glass, where if you right click the right side, it slides in with the left. #2 is where instead of it sliding into a piece of glass on the left side, you can put another material there so that the glass slides into a piece of wood, or stone, or whatever, depending on what your walls are made of.
5. Gates
I know i've seen a lot of people complain about this, and i am too. WE NEED GATES!!!
6. Advanced Redstone Technology
By ART, I mean stuff like Wireless Connecters, which would be made in pairs, and in stead of having a bunch of messy redstone mumbo-jumbo, there could be 2 connecters wirelessly linking with each other. Another idea i had was a computer, which, when made, could be used to turn redstone devices on and off from 1 location, instead of having to manually go up to the device and break off a piece of redstone. And a way i thought of for having devices identified is a Redstone Keystone. A redstone keystone can be placed in any area of a redstone circuit (or a camera, which i mention later), and, when placed, could be given a name so that a computer knows what the device is. Of course, it wouldn't work if there were 2 Keystones in a circuit, or if the circuit connected to another circuit that you had separate plans for. Another idea I had was a Camera, which could watch over a certain area if placed, or could record your adventures if you equip it and right click with it. My second to last idea is a TV, which could be used to view adventures recorded with the camera you hold, or could be set up to a stationary camera using a Point A to B device, which is my last idea. A Point A to B device could be used on several items, including cameras, TV's, and objects that can hold items, so that if you set Point A in a furnace and Point B in a chest, it will take the output of the furnace and put it directly into the chest for you. And, for a TV and Camera, if you put Point A in the Camera, and Point B in the TV, it will take the video from the camera and transfer it to your TV, so you can monitor several areas in 1 room.
7. More Weapons and Armor.
By more weapons, I'm talking about things like Studded Gauntlets, Katana's (faster but weaker then a regular sword), 2-Handers (slower but stronger then regular swords), Shields (which would only be able to be used with the regular sword, as the katana and 2-h use both hands), Bomb Suits (Unique Defense against creepers and explosions, such as from TNT), Fireproof Suits (which would prevent you from burning if set on fire by flint and steel, and from taking burn damage even after getting out of lava, but not while in the lava), Parachutes (worn in the Torso area, these would activate and prevent fall damage if you fall more than 10 blocks), Stone armor (would slow you down considerably, but when couched, makes you look like a piece of smooth stone, so hostile mobs don't sense you nearby), and the Ring of Nine Lives ( make a donut using pure diamond, but in a case where you are about to die, it teleports you home, but only has 9 uses before it crumbles into dust)
8. Night Vision Goggles
Allows you to see during the night and in caves, so no more worry about falling down a hole while mining!
9. Stained Glass
Instead of the regular old clear glass, how about a change? it's pretty much the same as coloring a piece of wool in your inventory, except that you replace the wool with glass, and you would have to recook the glass so that the color sets in.
10. Furniture
Imagine..... Chairs, Tables, Couches, Vases for flowers, toilets, sinks, showers, bathtubs...... IT WOULD BE EPIC! You would be able to sit on chairs, couches, and toilets, of course, but the rest is cosmetic.
11. STATS!!!!!
Basically, picture this as MCMMO for Singleplayer. If you don't know what MCMMO is, ill give it to you in a nutshell. You have stats for mining, digging, farming, woodcutting, herbalism, agility, fighting with fists, fighting with a sword, and fighting with an axe. If you want more info about it, look it up.
So..... Yeah....... This is what i came up with. Tell me what you think!
