Perhaps some of the beginning achievements could start out with little-to-nothing as a reward. You know, just to start people in the right direction; but once the player has started completing more and more difficult achievements, he would earn tools or supplies of some sort.
Corresponding amounts of certain items would be randomly assigned to the achievement depending on the level of difficulty.
Why? What possible justification is there to reward a player for the easy mundane tasks we have?
