I've seen a bit of talk going on lately about what Zombies should drop instead of just feathers. I figured I'd throw my thoughts on the situation.
I got inspiration for this idea from a game called Divinity 2. In this game you can gather body parts to create creatures that act as a type of combat pet. I think Zombies could be approached this way in Minecraft.
This would involve adding possibly different types of but it should work with just the one. When you kill a there could be some small chance, perhaps the same as a chicken dropping an egg, that the zombie would drop a random body part.
With these body parts you could then build yourself a companion, much like a wolf, but undead. He would follow you around and fight for you just like the wolf. Here's how he could be crafted.
Or something like that. All in all it's just a random idea. Feel free to change or add to the idea. :biggrin.gif:
Sounds a little bit good. But remember that Minecraft has no age-limit. I don't think it is apropiate for children too play a game were there is body parts left from killing a zombie

Agreed...
Like I said, just a random idea. Trying to give Zombies more of a purpose.
Not that it's necessarily a bad idea...

By balance, do you mean make it totally worthless?
What about them dropping mushrooms?
