The other day I made a doorbell using note blocks on a MP server. It was not very effective, it took up lots of space and it's sound was weak. So I got an idea: The doorbell block! The doorbell block would be useful in multiplayer. It looks like a black minecraft button with a white dot in the center, and it occupies the same space as a button does. Once pressed, the sound of "ding-dong" can be heard for two seconds. As this isn't a button, it can be put beside the door without you having to worry about the door opening for someone you don't want to let into your house.
Crafting:
where is button
and is note block.
TL:DR
A button that doesn't affect redstone wiring, and makes a simple way to make the doorbell of yours, without wasting space on redstone wiring.

WOOT! MORE SHOOTY STUFF!
If Facebook, Myspace, and Twitter were all destroyed, 90% of teens would go insane. If you're one of the 10% that would be laughing at them, copy this into your signature and hope it happens. (Griefing is an art. And a lot of dead creepers.)
Redstone isn't supposed to be small and simple. That's what makes it challenging. :smile.gif:
Excuse me! Who mentioned redstone? Besides, using this, you could have your light switch without these two interfering with each other. AND you could put a doorbell besides the door, without having to have the door one in / having the button one from the door.

Yes but would that look very aesthetically pleasing? Not really.
