Wouldn't you love to have more space for making your redstone contraption? Well, this would solve your problem! I have been building a combonation lock using buttons, and the RS NOR's to keep the power took up a bit more space than in my blueprints. Why not just place a dimond gem, and be done with it! Look at the example: >=Active Redtone Wire -=Inactive Redstone Wire >>>>>>>>>>> >>>>>>>>>>>> to -------- >>>>>>>>>>>>> then when you apply power to the diamond again, It turns off! Wonderful. Do you agree?
No. Design your plans better. There's programs for schematics and such.
Plus, doing this is like adding a prize for griefing redstone contraptions. A griefer opens up the wall, sees the diamond, and takes it.

You could have a block protection plugin. Plus, my combo lock works just fine. It just took a little time. Not that complicated.
No, recipe makes no sense and is completely unneeded. Repeater was added for multiple reasons including the fact many newbs to redstone needed one but were not yet advanced enough to make one, an RS-NOR is not really needed until you realise how to make one.
Next I see people suggesting 1 block redstone calculators.
I am most definately advanced to make one. It just takes up some space. I did not intend for this to be a problem. This would change the way redstone circuits are built though. I thought it was a good idea. :dry.gif:

Well the best laid plans...
Anywho, We just need a couple of Redstone gates (as well as a clock generator) to be one block devices and I'll be content.

Not an Inverter, an RS NOR Latch. They are not the same.

...one that doesn't involve diamonds.
*sigh* I guess you're right. It wouldm't make sense to leave a dimond out in the open in SMP.
You are right.
