So just a very quick Idea that I thought of...And before I start I would like to mention I don't have a very good knowledge in Redstone so bear with me :wacko.gif:
So basically this is meant to make it possible to make complex Redstone structures in a much more confined area.
Okay...To explain, Imagine a 10 x 10 block area in Minecraft shrunk into a one block area. And in that area you can place Redstone stuff, and you can connect blocks together to make a Redstone machine that would usually take up a 100 x 100 space would take only 10 x 10.
Now I know that a lot of stuff is not explained, but I just wanted to get my idea out, so if I ever have time I might go in more detail in this...just hope every one gets the idea.
so kind of like a craftine bench but instead you can hook up redstone wiring in it and use that instead iof having lots of redstone scattered about. that is honestly a great idea
Sounds like a great idea, but that would require very difficult to program stuff. It would require either A) a 3D viewer that shows everything in the table in real time, ande editing is held normally, or :cool.gif: it is just a simple page flipping GUI, then the only way to edit it would be to have multiple pages viewed at once, or really damn goods memory.
Furthermore, how would you get the individual redstone relays to leave the 10x10 space, without being in the exact same wire?
yeah thats one of the problems with the idea...but I guess you could have layers on the table or something...
Still doesn't work. Also, consider the fact that many redstone applications involve blocks and such. Will you be able to place those on this table too? Don't think so.

Like I said this was a very quick idea so there are a lot of problems with it...I guess i was thinking outloud...

And how are you going to make outputs? You have 6 possible sides on a table. Many redstone contraptions are for things with many inputs/outputs.
Redstone is too complex for this, and for the simpler applications of redstone, they take up so little room anyways that this is unneeded.

It's a good idea but it wouldn't work.
