I'm suggesting a random phenomenon to occur in the Tundra Biome. It's very rare, so you'll be lucky to see one!
The northern lights would only come during the night. When they are in effect, the moonlight level is no longer 4, but 8! It's still dark but monsters cannot spawn. Go out and enjoy the northern lights and thank it for the lack of monsters before sunrise when it goes away.
Just a visual suggestion, but also a miracle to save you from monsters at night. Thoughts? :biggrin.gif:
Rollback Post to RevisionRollBack
I am meowing at my lung’s fullest. I would even argue that the echo that reverberates back to me is the voice of someone I know…
How often will the game check on that? If you don't link those 2% to a timeframe they don't say anything at all.
If it was, let's say, 2%/sec it would take an average of 50 seconds to occur once.
On topic now. I like the idea and it would fit in well with the adventure update, though I think most of the cosmetic features should be added after the release of Minecraft (given it will be developed further then). The remaining time until realease should be used to fix bugs and add content that affects gameplay.
I think it was meant to be 2% per night, so once every 50 nights or so.

Rarer, .165%, the chance of encountering a pink sheep. :biggrin.gif:
