Smelting sand gives us glass, a see-through block that light can pass through.
What I am suggesting is smelting soul sand should give us a version of glass: Soulglass. It has the patterns and markings similar to soul sand, but carved into the glass. It's specialties: It is not see-through, but light can pass through. This is because the trapped souls cloud the glass. :biggrin.gif:
What can Soulglass be useful for? My personal favorite use is for a dance floor. You place the lighting effects underneath (nicer when the colored lights come out in 1.8!) then you dance on it!
Another good use is a Soulglass house. It may not be a very strong material, but the light from the inside of your house will shine through the walls and light the outside for you. :smile.gif:
Soulglass would also be useful for making light switches. You don't have to see the light source.
Thoughts? :biggrin.gif:

I am meowing at my lung’s fullest. I would even argue that the echo that reverberates back to me is the voice of someone I know…
