I've always been wanting to have this in the game for ages! Oil!
It would be found at a depth of 32 or lower and just as rare as lava!
The texture would be the water texture, but black, instead of blue. When you jump in it, you will slowly sink down as what spider webs do and you start taking damage. Oil can be picked up with a bucket and can be an alternative use for a furnace along with coal and charcoal. This could be useful for making torches, so you don't waste your coal.
Oil can also make pistons stretch out more and/or work quicker.
