I think putting Minecraft on the Mac App Store would be a win win situation. The app store would help boost sales and more people would have access to the game. Me personallly, I just got a $100 bucks for the Mac App Store and i'm willing to buy Minecraft if it ever makes an appearence.
I doubt it would ever happen. Not because of Mojang, but Apple. They are well known among smartphone and app developers for being extremely critical of everything submitted to them. Java is already known as not working as well on Mac as on PC and the game has a bunch of bugs.
Plus, You would expect the game to have to cost quite a bit more, I think Apple charges a % of each download based on the space the game takes on the server.

Well, being as you would probably just buy a code from Apple and download it from minecraft.net, It wouldn't take up much space at all.

True, that could be done. But they still won't endorse an application or game without it going through rigorous testing or a very thoughtful *gift* to Steve Jobs :tongue.gif:
They should really partner up with a couple of different Game Card companies. Playspan has a ton of retailers in the US and Australia, so we just need ones for Europe, Asia, etc. This and something like the App store or Steam would work good with those.

Bad is pronounced just like it looks, and then "pre" is a long E (like in tree) and nup is pronounced like it looks.
My name is short for Bad Prenuptial Agreement.

Ah. I thought that's what it was, but wasn't sure because I didn't know what it meant.
