Ace of Spades is basically a less laggy ripoff of minecraft thats ww1/ww1 based. Its an online team deathmatch game where you fight with long range rifles or short range SMGs and build bases and underground tunnels and stuff.
I'm sure a thousand people are going to be trolled by this thread, but hey, if minecraft took ideas from AOS, they would probably make twice the amount of money. Just saying. But don't rely on my description; play the game yourself. http://ace-spades.com/?page_id=5
THIS IS NOT AN ADVERTISEMENT MEANT TO DRAW PEOPLE AWAY FROM MINECRAFT TO AOS. I'm saying that minecraft should take ideas from AOS. Like being able to craft a rifle. Imagine an online team deathmatch where you're battling eachother and using cover by day, but then also defending yourself from the horrors of the night when the day ends...
(OMG the last one scares me the most!!! lol just kiddin)
Here's some ideas that minecraft can take from AOS.
- Online multiplayer deathmatch servers
- Rifles, and their bullets (craftable, or we can choose whether people will start with them)
- A "tent" area where you can move to and have your health and ammo refilled
- Intel, but I like the idea of flags better, so CTF :biggrin.gif:
And here's some ideas I made up.
- We should be able to choose whether we make minecraft survival servers, free-for-all deathmatch servers, team deathmatch servers, or team CTF servers, and the server host can decide what players will start with in their inventory
Specify: What ideas exactly can Minecraft take from AoS?
How exactly does a WW-era game get associated with Minecraft, anyway?
Y'know, AOS is almost exactly like minecraft. Its a 3D world made from cubes, and you can build and place cubes in it. The only things that set it apart are the weapons, the skins, and the gameplay, other than the building.
I'm not suggesting that AOS would be practically ported over to minecraft, but we should be able to host online multiplayer deathmatch servers, choose what skin each team uses, and craft rifles (like muskets) with bullets, and craft throwable legend of zelda-like bombs, hell, I made a big thread about making combat in minecraft better but everyone seemed to ignore it.
But free-for-all deathmatches where you can have your own skin would be pretty awesome too. :cool.gif:

...if this Ace of Spades fulfills every Minecraft FPS fantasy, why not just play it instead of Minecraft? Let minecraft be about building cool stuff and let AoS be about killing each other.
Okay , i would mention all the stuff you are wrong
1. AoS is not a rip-off of minecraft , do you think notch invented cubes ? , why do every game that uses cubes is a rip-off of minecraft for noobs... actually , there was a guy that invented cube terrain generation way before mojang started minecraft development , i just say this to make you understand that : NOTCH DIDNT INVENTED CUBES OR CUBE TERRAIN GENERATION , HE JUST USE IT FOR HIS GAMES ( OBVIUSLY HIS OWN ENGINE ) , god... now if i draw cubes in my notebook mojang will sue me ?
2. deathmatch ? ever heard of factions or PVP servers ?
3. oh no... another gun idea... please , search , and please read comments of people trolling those posts , that will help you a lot with this suggestion.
4. tents that refill ammo ( arrows ) and health would be overpowered.
5. notch confirmed or atleast mentions in the wiki about a CTF mode..
so those are the 5 reaons of why this idea is incredibly bad.
I saw the rifle idea and you are now a total idiot in my eyes.

NO. Don't click New Thread. Read the rules. I don't give a damn how long or boring they are. If you do not, you will be subject to massive flaming and criticism by yours truly.
Maybe and I mean MAYBE a musket in Minecraft, with a long reload time and expensive to build/ fire. But as for M-160,000,000's with more attachments than a 16 year old girl's car... no.
