Slabs makes it easier to build other scales of buildings but still it's very limited, an idea I thought of, making the slabs also vertically would probably fix this problem. Having percent size of blocks could make artwork like statues, vechiles (cars, boats etc.) and other objects without having to see it from far away
If a block could be divided by 4 and u could use 1/4, 2/4 and even 3/4 of it (the stair block is 3/4 block)
The vertical slab could probably be crafted like this (using wood for exampl
I don't have an example of how to craft 1/4 of a block if you have a suggestion or agrees with my idea please post your agreement or suggestion! :biggrin.gif: :cool.gif:
I think it would be nice if slabs just worked like every other block. As in you place a slab on the bottom of a block the slab will be on the bottom of the block; place the slab on the side of a block it will be on the side of the block. Although, the only way to place a slab to cover a hole would be to be in the hole.
This post isn't about 1/8 of a block, I think that is a bad idea
1. It's hard to place
2. The crafting recipie would be one block witch wouldnt make much sence
3. It would be unnecessary as its very small
So this post dosn't support the 1/8 block.
1. No, it isn't. It's placed like a normal block.
2. Wrong again. You smash it with a hammer, which gives you 8 8th blocks.
3. Unnecessary? It could do what you want, stairs, half steps, and over 250 more shapes.

Are you picturing yourself how a 1/8 of a block would look like? It would look REALLY small, from a long distance it would almost not be possible to see.
And if u want to place a 1/8 of a block on a surface how can u say that it "would be placed like a normal block"? You've got 4 spaces to put that 1/8 block on. Normal placement of blocks is not the same since the flat area is the same size as the flat area of the block you were going to place?
With number 2, that would maybe be an idea but on number 3 you're totally wrong, it would not be necessary because of the high amount of 1/8 blocks that you would need to make stairs, half steps and the oter 250 of them.
Therefor its not necessary with 1/8 blocks

None of those reasons make sense...
I thought they could be called "panels".
With this much more detailing could be done to buildings!
+1 support, even though it was suggested before.
