I doubt this will be added, but here it is. My idea is several new objects that could advance redstone machinery vastly.
StickyBlock
This is more of a piston upgrade, but it is an object that becomes sticky like the sticky piston when activated with redstone, or right clicked. When right-cliked twice, it goes on, and then back off upon the second click.
Why?
This could be useful if making a giant redstone and piston machine, like a giant crawling robot I have designed.
Crafting:
= slimeball = mossy cobblestone
Redstone cables
Finally! A way to compress many redstone wires. These are entire blocks of restone and iron. These could be used to make better screens for certain machines. Because you don't need to stack the wires on top of blocks. Also, they act as diodes-they only connect to redstone wires in front and behind them.
Crafting:
= redstone = iron
Pixels
Pixels are basically redstone torches that do not invert the signal when placed on the side or top of a block, but can glow in any color that can be made with ink. This could be used for color screens.
Crafting:
= glass = redstone torch = red ink = blue ink = green ink = glowstone dust
Redstone Coder
This could be very useful. The idea is making objects that act like redstone wire, but look a bit like a half-block with a colored square. These are also a good new use for ink. It changes the game from needing large ammounts of logic gates for every signal to only needing one for every 16 signals.
How:
The redstone coder uses ink to code the redstone signal with another variable. It also acts much like a diode, and when a coded signal goes in that matches its code (color of ink), it sends a normal signal through the following redstone.
Any other ideas or comments can be posted below. If anyone thinks they could make a mod of this, that would be good, but this is still just a suggestion for the game.
Make it so the cables can carry a signal farther than normal wire. Also possibly make more advanced redstone powered things that can only be powered by the cable. Last thing for the cable, make it so you can't directly connect a wire to it. Have a converter that takes in 3 wires and connects to a cable:
= redstone cable = converter = redstone wire
( Note, this is not a crafting table but a top down view )
Good idea on the converter. It could be crafted like this:
= redstone = gold
Also, I had a thought for a new type of piston that could make T flip-flop gates ot "toggle gates" much smaller and easier to make. It's a toggle piston. When it's activated, it stays on until the next time it's activated and it stays off until activated again, and so on. It's basically a toggle gate connected to a piston. (sticky or not, two types of toggle pistons just like two types of normal pistons)
