Are there any plans for cloud saving? Has this already been discussed somewhere? It would be pretty amazing because it's such a pain in the ass having to transfer the save files between computers all the time.
You could always sign up with one of the existing cloud-based storage services, like Dropbox. Install the client on each computer you use regularly, and it will keep any files you store in the dropbox synced up automatically, and you can download stuff from the web site if you can't install the client.
Very handy for making files available in multiple locations at once.

That's true, and I'm already using dropbox aswell as ubuntu-one to do that, but the main thing is having to go through the bother of doing that at all, and whatsmore the minecraft save files are in awkward locations and hidden by default(in different locations in linux and windows aswell, confusing things further if you transfer between the two.) Nothing could be handier than having it built into the client.
