Burning gravel in a furnace would produce flint. This would make it so much easier to acquire flint, as it is a pain to acquire it through digging gravel over and over again. With this, you could actually produce arrows at a decent rate.
why would you waste a valuable resource for flint? you could, in theory, place all the gravel you've acquired and REdig it up, depending on how large of a stack you've placed, you should get enough, and if you're doing it for arrows, KILL SOME SKELETONS! I do it with my bare hands, or a sword, or lava... ok lava might actually BURN the arrows, but you get the idea, also, as unrealistic as minecraft is, at least someone can argue it's not TOO random, like surrounding an apple in gold ingots... wait nevermind that is about as ridiculous as cooking gravel (No offense) to get flint... Either way, if my ideas for you seem too strenuous a task for you, You might as well either do the coding for it yourself or just install toomanyitems or invedit for your flint needs. I would however agree that more ways to acquire flint would be helpfull.

You can't have multiple inputs in a furnace.
