Hello peoples! (and hopefully Notch or any other Mojang representatives :tongue.gif: )
Just thought i'd put out a few suggestions i have for Minecraft :smile.gif:
First off is paint, paint could be made with dyes and put in buckets so that we can paint blocks such as wood and stone to give some more options to people who want to make colourful things. Paint is the perfect alternative to using wool as a base for coloured structures. Paint can be made in white first, which is then dyed to make other colours. It can be used a certain amount of times before it runs out (sort of like tool duration). Seeing as i can't think of any other thick, liquidy substance in-game, slimeballs can be used with bone meal and a bucket in a crafting table to make white paint, then use the paint with the desired dye to change the colour :smile.gif:
Secondly, ropes. Ropes are something fun that can be added to Minecraft, they can be used to make ziplines to travel from one point to another. Rope can be obtained by combining string on crafting tables, if a zipline is desired, use rope between 2 fences on a crafting table. With the given item, place one point at the desired block and the other at the alternative point to make a zipline. Ropes can also be used to make rope ladders, which unlike wooden ladders, can be used to go up angles such as the side of a mountain. One purpose i find quite good is to use on ships. If a ship has been made in your minecraft world, instead of using ladders going up the mast, you can use rope ladders. It would make a much more detailed look and put finishing touches on your build. Rope ladders can also be used like the zipline by not requiring it be placed on a solid block, but rather from one point to another. Instead of ruining your desired look of your build, you can place on end of the rope ladder to where you want it to end and you will have a ladder going up without having to obscure your view. I think this would be a great addition to the game and give some more detail to builds that people make.
Last but not least, slime spawning. I dont know about you guys but i sometimes have trouble finding slimes to get slimeballs for my pistons. If slime spawns could be somehow modified to make them more easy to find i would greatly appreciate it :smile.gif:
I hope everyone likes my ideas, please leave a comment on your thoughts about what i've come up with and maybe, just maybe someone from Mojang might read this and say "hey...this kids on to something"
Thanks for reading guys, happy mining :biggrin.gif:
EDIT:
Ok so i just saw on the suggestions thread that it should be 1 idea per topic.
If you could please disregard this topic and leave your responses in the 3
separate topics. Please leave your feedback on there

Minecraft should have a moon realm. You'd have to collect a lot of materials to build a rocket and travel there. Someone would have to put in a new element like oil for fuel and you could power it by gathering electricity from lightning or a hydroelectric dam. The minerals on the moon would have to be really special though and carry a huge roll on the Minecraft earth.
I like the idea of rope ladders because you wouldn't have to have them attached to a block. So you could have a ladder that just hangs there without an ugly pillar.
Rollback Post to RevisionRollBack
Life is just a blunt full of light and sound; roll it up, lick it, light it, take a puff and get blaouzed.
Thanks for the feedback guys, whether its positive or negative it all helps :smile.gif:
The moon thing would be much too difficult i think. To make it simpler just make it another realm that you go through a portal to get to, the whole rocket ship idea would be much too difficult

these are all suggested before and please, keep it to 1 idea/topic
AND REALY? YOU GO TO BE KIDDING ME WITH THE MOON REALM!
WORST IDEA'S EVER :
1 guns
2 moon realm
3 anything else non-medieval(minecraft theme) related
Sorry, i just saw on the suggestions thread about the one idea per post. I have made 3 separate topics for each idea. Thankyou for your feedback :smile.gif:

Paint) This could easily be done by changing the rendering mode (Not sure that's the right word...) However it might lag badly if used too much and would increase map size (Color codes would have to be added to each affected block | Example: 0 255 0 for neon green) I think only certain blocks should be able to be painted.
Ropes) You'd probably need some sort of throwing mechanism. Right click to throw -> thrown rope end attaches to a block -> Right click to set down rope | Left click to reel it back. With this you could probably make, like you said, ziplines (with a additional item to differentiate) but also tightropes (Again, possibly)
Slime Spawners) No, that would throw off the balance of the game any way you look at it.
NO. Don't click New Thread. Read the rules. I don't give a damn how long or boring they are. If you do not, you will be subject to massive flaming and criticism by yours truly.

2. All of these have been suggested before
3. I dislike every one of these ideas

2/3 , Pretty good score!
