I am seeing about 3 ideas for pistons on every page now. So, now if everybody could post their ideas, complaints, or whatever, in here, I think it may get some attention and would save room for other ideas.
Though I would like the idea of cramming all those piston ideas into one thread, I don't know if you're cut out to manage one. But I don't know you well enough to decide that, so go on ahead.

NO. Don't click New Thread. Read the rules. I don't give a damn how long or boring they are. If you do not, you will be subject to massive flaming and criticism by yours truly.

I actually agree with you, you should really be the one in charge of this. I have read your posts and think you are pretty smart.
I thank you for your attempt at creating a megathread.
It takes a lot of persistence and energy to run a megathread. It has nothing to do with intelligence, just a willingness to make the forum a better place.
Until arirish completes his guide to making megathreads, I will lay out a brief primer for perusal.
Keep in mind that these are suggestions, if you feel that your suggestion passes muster, send me a PM and I'll add it to the gigathread, caveat: If I find that the megathread is not considerably popular and you no longer frequent these forums, I reserve the right to remove your thread from the list.
FIRST
I will define a megathread as such: Megathread - also: Mega-thread and Mega Thread
A completely unbiased topic related to a single game-related
feature or improvement holding the collective community's view toward
the topic. Megathreads may employ lists toward similar topics or may
house (completely) all points of view toward the topic within.
A few notes.
The Megathread MUST be unbiased, it can include the OP's personal views, but the OP cannot perform personal attacks against those of differing opinion. HE MUST catalog and include all opinions, even if the opinions are so different that they borderline trolling.
NOW THEN.
To make a megathread like this, you must account for major pistons.
Sticky Piston - The piston that drags the closest block.
Piston - The piston that simply pushes blocks away.
Firing Piston - The classic piston found in the mod.
You must categorize and catalog the points of views of each sufficiently different point of view toward each of the topics, and you MUST be ACTIVE. Especially in the formative days of the thread.
Finally, in order for this to be considered official, it must be written as though it WAS official. I must perceive it to be in an official standing for it to be planned. As you may expect, this is no easy task.
Luckily for you, the standards I use for "official" are lax to the point of "sufficient length of OP and sufficient length of replies."
