So, I was thinking the other day, about how pistons can only push or pull one block, and I was thinking of possible ways to solve this issue. So, I cam up with the idea that, two pistons placed directly in front of each other, facing the same way would create an "extended piston" if you will. So, if you have two pistons in front of each other, they will push out two blocks, and three will push out three, and so on up to the block limit. Also, they could possibly move a little bit slower with each piston extension you put on, which I personally think makes sense, but that is only my opinion. Here are some examples.
= Piston = Piston pusher part
Double Piston
Triple Piston
Septuple Piston
And, actually, instead of using regular pistons and sticky pistons, you would create something called an "extendable piston" and a "sticky extendable piston" so that way it doesn't interfere with other projects that use pistons pushing each other. just for explanation purposes, I'd imagine the recipe could go something like this:
As much as i would love extended pistons the way you are making them would ruin a lot of big projects so if you rethink how they are made i would love them.

Well, yes, that does seem like it could work, but the reason I wanted it similar to the idea I was thinking of was because with a "longer piston" then you don't need any extra circuitry.

I actually just thought, if Notch were to create a separate type of a piston, for the sake of this discussion I will call "extendable pistons" and "sticky extendable pistons" that way pistons and sticky pistons still work the same way, without interfering with each other. I think I'll go ahead and add that to the OP.
I couldn't think of any ways it would be super over powered, since the length limit would be the same as the pushing limit a single Piston can do, but I might be wrong.
Yeah, even if Notch won't do it, maybe Hippoplatimus might make a mod for it, which would be pretty epic.

Mostly moved on. May check back a few times a year.

Ah hell what's the worse that could happen?
