Appear until after 20 minecraft days or something. I think this'll fix that random chance that new players could run into a village straight on the first night and detract from that 'survive-the-first-night' experience. Maybe not 20 days but you get my point right?

1: Notch doesn't read this forum.
2: NPC villages don't exist yet, so we can't say how they will or won't behave.
3: If, as I have already stated, NPC villages don't yet exist, how would we know if spawning on one would be beneficial?
Yea, the villages will be random, so its like Clay, or finding a dungeon, rare to find. (Clay for me is a pain to find) So if you actually find a village on your first night then its not your fault, its just the fact that you like exploreing xD
Though he used to, the only way to get noticed by him now is if you make an extremely popular mod... and even then it's not likely.
I'm not even sure why I still post here to be honest...

emm , notch does check this forum but very rarely... you need to make your suggestion really popular and then tweet him , if you see in some posts of the forum you can find some posts from notch...

To the idea , i think that , instead of spawning villages with pigmen when the world generates , the pigmen will be spawned in groups of 3 - 5 every 10 - 20 days , if they are in the group of 3 they will work together on a small town , then 10 days after that 3 - 5 pigmen will spawn again , if they are near the old village they will help the old pigmen with the town making it bigger or adding stuff... , and if they spawn far from the other village they will start their own.
If a pigman spawns alone he wont do anything but walk through all the world trying to fidn another pigman to work together...
Because i really dont want villages spawning when the world generates , but when pigmen spawn...
Yeah they could be a hostile village which make surviving even harder
If I spawned near a village in Minecraft beta 1.8 and it was hostile I'd get creepers to chase me down so I could blow the village up by using creepers. Yes- hostile villages might be handy but if you spawn near one might make life difficult on minecraft.

I thought creepers were tough... well when you kill em with your fist you're like me- thinking creepers are weak

= What I saw with this Idea.
Seriously, NPC villages would add sense to this game. If one spawns near you, just trade it fur so you can live there. It would make a lot more sense than just running from them. After all, your goal is to survive. Not flee from ev erything that moves.
I have an excellent idea for this.
Maybe villages have a hostile mob. And the mob re-spawns very quickly inside the buildings.
And this way you can't you know.. Eh, just live there.
And... Maybe some buildings have more then 1 mob in it, this means when 1 dies it re-spawns in the same building.
Sorry for going off topic a bit... But what about chests being in some buildings, very rarely, like in dungeons.
Overall I don't think NPC villages should be added.

Ys -Crying- Why! Why must Sarah die! Why! At least there is still Feena and Reah to guide Adol through his Journey. But... Sarah got turned to stone... That is just plain cruel. Stupid Monsters.

It would be fun slaughtering an entire village and then hijacking their settlements.... Wait you can do that with innocents.... Am I disturbed?
