Currently the only use for gunpowder is TNT, and I would like at least one more use to this: The soul bomb.
This is the crafting:
The log is supposed to be soul sand.
My thoughts behind the use of soul sand is this:
Soul sand makes you slow, and that might mean it is slightly sticky. It is also called soul SAND, so it could be used in TNT unlike a slime ball, which is not sand, obviously.
The use of a soul bomb:
Placing a soul bomb is a lot different than regular TNT. It is thrown like a snowball or egg. When is sticks to a solid surface, it will activate. Yes, a solid surface, that means things like water won't activate it. Only things that have a "surface" like stone, dirt, sand, and stuff.
It could be useful for blowing up things that are up high, or as a grenade against a large group of monsters, such as many split slimes or a group of annoying skeletons.
cool shouldnt it be smaller if you throw it though? Something like this?
(sand is soul sand)
I don't think it would need to be smaller. Taking out gunpowder is taking out explosive force, and a pile of gunpowder would barely add any size to something, only a block like sand. I don't see any need to make the recipe smaller. It could be relatively small compared to normal dropped blocks, maybe the size of a cactus drop.
EDIT
I thought of sticky grenade, but Soul Bomb sounds cooler and makes a bit more sense. It explodes and it's made with soul sand.

I did say that, yes.
Slowing down wouldn't happen, it's only a sticky explosive that can be thrown, for reaching high surfaces and being used as a grenade.
I agree, since TNT is made of sand and gunpowder, couldn't this just be called "sticky grenade" or something?
