1.) The sun and moon rotate on a skybox in the minecraft world. They would have to be seperate skyboxes, constantly detecting where the other is, which would cause extreme lag.
2.) During a solar eclipse, it becomes nearly as dark as night. This doesn't invalidate your suggestion though.
It sounds cool but I think I would get over it pretty fast if they ever put it in the game, just like how rain and thunder storms were cool at first but now I can't stand them.

Solar eclipses are extremely rare, whereas rain is so common it gets irritating. So that presents an entirely opposite reason for the suggestion not being worth it; why spend time adding something that would take many ingame years to happen?
Now, it would look like any normal solar eclipse, except that the sky turns into a blood-red color.
During the solar eclipse, it would be as bright as any normal day. But monsters will spawn.
Zombies
+ 5% Movement speed
+ 1 exra heart of damage
- 1 extra health
Eyes become blood-red.
Skeletons
+ 1% Movement speed
+ 2% Range
+ 1 Heart of damage
- 1 Health
Bones dropped are stained with blood.
Creepers
+ larger blast radius
+ Explodes within 2 blocks of player
+ 1 Health
- 2% Movement speed
Becomes black/grey
Eyes+Mouth Glow.
Any ideas for spiders would be much appreciated.
EDIT: I had no idea that this was Terraria-Like. I havent played terraria so I didnt know :tongue.gif:
