I saw the other suggested already, but i'll post it anyway.
Sticky pistons are nice for moving blocks but they are limited by 1 block range, therefore really only useful for a 2wide door or a trap. With all of these two additions, pistons could be used in a much wider range.
1) When they push blocks, they only push the one block touching it. Understandable as it would pull the whole world technically if it defaultly pulled everything - however, comma, allow us to use slime balls between our blocks so they stick as well (this is what i saw suggested before) allowing us to have retracting, massive doors.
2) Currently sticky pistons can stick to other sticky pistons, but unless its just bugged for me you can only do this once in a sequence. None of this 10-long or so piston chains that can reach out and grab something from afar and bring it in. It should be able to stick as many times as you have pistons.
3) Crushing blocks. One of the cool features about the mod for pistons was it could "squish" a block to make it turn back into an obtainable item. This allowed for automatic cobblestone generators, reed farms, etc etc. This could be used along with the long chain of pistons to remove one of those automatic generated bridges as well, so it goes away as well as forms up. Please, let them crush stuff!
I feel like we are limited vastly because we lack these 3 things. All of my ideas flop because one of these 3 issues comes into play.
alright apparently people just want to bash me rather than take into consideration what i am suggesting. forget it then, i still hope it happens but pretty bad when people are blinded by a good suggestion by either thinking im raging or focusing on something totally off topic.

If you can't take the heat, get out of the kitchen. If people don't like your idea, we aren't going to support it. We have plenty of critics here who enjoy getting rid of bad ideas.
1. That removes a lot of the purpose of pistons. 12 blocks is a reasonable number to push, and can still make auto-bridges and such.
2. Sticky pistons can only stick to other pistons if the other pistons are not active. It would be difficult to make a piston pull two blocks.
3. Crusher pistons are already suggested, even on the front page.
NO. Don't click New Thread. Read the rules. I don't give a damn how long or boring they are. If you do not, you will be subject to massive flaming and criticism by yours truly.

I'm not bashing you, but that was the only thing in that entire post that stood out to me. None of your ideas are original.
Edit: and generally, when you're the only one who agrees with your ideas, it doesn't mean they're good.
1.7 being the first update with Pistons, i think in time they will look at all the forum posts and make revisions and additions to pistons and their functionality. So give it a bit of time mate.
