I didn't found this idea on forum, nor mods to do that, so... Sorry if there's one ;-;
My idea is to do a block detector, it will be like a Stone Step or a stone block that will activate Redstone when a block is over it. If you right-click it you can choose what type of blocks will activate the redstone and the ones who will not.
So, in some adventure maps, the mapper can create a puzzle that uses the panel to open doors, activate Pistons. In singleplayer, the player can create some circuits to farm, i don't know, be creative, people xD. And in multiplayer, the OP's can create some places with nice dungeons with puzzles. So, what do you guys think? =]
The same way you put a block over a halfstep or another block, is not going to be exactly a "Pressure plate". I'm thinking about a Block that detect kinds of blocks over it. Like this:
The red Flower is the Activated redstone. and the Diamond is the Detector block.
