Hi! I'm here to suggest what should be in Beta - Creative mode in 1.8.
Every block that is and will be here, basically. This includes certain modded blocks and excludes mob spawners, unless Notch decides to add animals, although, they'd have to be invincible.
Compass and map. You may get lost, depending on wether Notch decides to make the creative worlds infinite or limited, but they may still server a purpose in non-infinite worlds. :smile.gif:
The creeper is your friend. Hostile mobs will be passive in creative mode. They will spawn anywhere at any time (Limit 20). However, the mobs will all have to be invincible, because creative is where nobody (that includes mobs) gets hurt.
Animals! Same reason as hostile mob suggestion. They add to the effect.
Weather, but no lightning or snow blocks being created by snow.
Nether, of course. Ghasts, zombie pigmen and lava/fire will not damage the player in creative mode.
Wolves will be there, but won't server a purpose until Notch thinks up a really good reason for them to be there in creative. Perhaps they can place certain blocks and defend your structures and creations from griefers? Each time they peck away at a griefer the griefer will be sent back to the spawn. On the fifth time sent back they will be kicked. On the third kick they will be banned for at least 30 minutes.
TNT will only destroy naturally generated blocks to clear land.
Sponges return! They will be just like in classic. :smile.gif:
Furnaces/Crafting Tables/Chests may not really serve a purpose at all really, but may prove useful for decoration.
Beds of course will have to be there. Same function as in SMP.
The blue flowers should be added here, too, just like in Pocket Edition.
Plants and tallgrass/webs, etc. should be in your inventory as well.
Emoticons, perhaps?
Books could be found in creative as well, as could be written in to create an actual book in minecraft. Bookcases may form as a place to store them. The owner of the server could toggle wether bookcases could be used to store books or not. If not, they will be stored in the inventory and could be copied for another player to view. :biggrin.gif:
Paintings should be added too, for decoration, of course!
Perhaps the player could plant Wheat and seeds, and limit their growth as an addition to scenery or decoration?
Lava and water should not flow.
Keep Torches! :biggrin.gif:
Armor and pumpkins could be worn but will not have a use other than making you look cool. :biggrin.gif:
I agree with this, except for a few things:
Mobs: There should be no mobs. You should be able to spawn mobs, but if they spawned naturally they would just get in your way.
Wether: Again, no natural weather change as it would just be annoying. However, you should be able to set the wether yourself.
Blue flower: What? No, blue flowers aren't in the game. Get a texture pack if you want them.
TNT: You should not be able to activate it.
TNT should be used, but can't destroy anthing someone made.
Blue flowers ARE Technically in minecraft. Not beta or classic currently, but in pocket edition. Go watch some videos on it on YT if you don't believe me.

I don't see the point in TNT.
And no, blue flowers are technically not in minecraft. They may be in the yet to be released pocket addition, but I don't see the point in adding something that could very well be an experimental feature that they decided against?
perhaps creative mode is secretly intended as a tool for making custom maps. jeb said in question time that the future of minecraft is mainly going to rely on player based content. no adventure mode has been hinted at yet, and with all the new stuff that we're getting, pistons, spike blocks, and unknown items to be found across different biomes, it looks like the quality of custom maps are going to get better. just a thought...

For beds, that goes for IF there is a cycle. Mobs MAY serve a purpose, but I'm not sure.

But this is a pretty cool thread.

Also, why did you call me a troll on my profile?
