Before you begin flaming, YES I searched for this and NO I did not find any results.
May we begin? Unlike most suggestions, which focus on gameplay elements, my idea focuses on the technical side of Minecraft. My suggestion: add a singleplayer developer console to Minecraft.
The developer console should be able to do things like edit the player's inventory, spawn mobs, place and edit blocks, enable noclip (flying), etc. In a sense it combines the elements of many mods into a built-in console.
Yes, I've seen the "Single-Player Commands" thread. I think the idea is good, but I feel it is missing something. With a developer console, The player can debug his/her creations. For example, typing something like "redstone_power_set 0" would turn off all redstone wire and components until something is updated.
If used in multiplayer, the console should definitely be Op-Only.
One last thing: If there actually is a console that I don't know about, please tell me. :tongue.gif:

I dont have a sig or an avatar. (Except that (V), which is for Science! You monster.) They're like my name. Immaterial.

I could see this, at least until it is released. Just an expansion of the Debug Mode where you can actually spawn things to see how they work in specific situations. I don't think this should be vanilla on release though.
