Not a lot of thought went into this. This suggestion is just a way to make putting windows in a house be less blocky. Yes, less blocky in a world of blocks but hear me out:
When placed the same way you would Wooden Planks and Cobblestone in a Crafting Table to make half blocks of those kinds doing so with glass blocks would give you half glass blocks. A Glass Half Block would react differently to the environment than wood or cobblestone. Glass blocks, when placed on another block would stack upwards on whichever side you're closest to.
Recently, Jeb released an interview about things like glass and torches. He said that they complicate things in the programming because they have to remake render lists(or something to that effect). There's a chance that this may cause problems.
