I have a few suggestions to make to things for keeping time:
The wall clock: Obviously mentioned before, but you need to craft it like this: = clock = slimeball
This gives the slimeball a purpose (besides sticky pistons in 1.7), the idea being it sticks the clock to the wall. The wall clock looks like a block version of the normal one.
The calendar: Made like this:
Where = paper
This gives you a calendar of the in-game month. You start on Monday, January 1st, year 1, and keep on going (if you get 365 days). You can also write things down on the calendar: the deadline for your mushroom farm to be built, when you want to explore that mountain near the big castle, etc. You can write down what happened that day and look at it later, maybe how much iron you found or the coordinates of a good coal mine. This would be a new take on the journal/custom books idea.
Sloppy Joe Tuesdays (this is a joke, unless you guys think it's good :biggrin.gif:)
Every Tuesday night, all zombies drop Sloppy Joe sandwiches instead of feathers! Yummies for all! :biggrin.gif:
How would a Minecraft watch be any different from the clocks we have now? Vividkinz, why do you think wall clocks are pointless? I think they'd be nice for decoration and that way you wouldn't have to risk walking around with four gold bars and a redstone OR look in a chest every time you need to know if it's light out. Plus, other people could see what time it was, and it would be almost a symbol of success, after all, it's hard enough to find gold OR redstone, let alone both.

I'm sorry, my eyes must still be bleeding from the last post I read. Did you just say that gold and redstone were hard to find? Because if that's what you think, you have been badly misinformed

That all depends on the individual maps. What may be common for you could be rarer than the Holy Grail to others.

You're right. My server has almost completely been urbanized, and not much natural ore is left. It's either spend hours and hours to find minerals, or buy them from others, and now that they're being slowly depleted, the price is starting to rise. The value of a bar of iron on my server is about the same as a diamond on a normal server.

This is a test
to see if I can hide
lots and lots
and lots of text
inside my signature.
Huh, guess I can!
