Thanks to the new piston video Mojang put up, and some discussions going on recently, I came across the idea to make blocks sticky. It would be crafted similarly to sticky pistons, as shown below:
The only main difference is that the placement of the slimeball will determine which side of the block will become sticky. One square above the block for the top (as shown), one square below the block for the bottom, and one square to either side of the block for the side (I don't know if it needs to be specific or not).

The point of these blocks would be (WIP):
to stop sand/gravel from being affected by gravity
to allow pistons to pull multiple blocks
to allow pistons to push or pull larger structures constructed of these sticky blocks
What do you guys think? Any suggestions to improve it?
I think this could be improved upon to make sticky sand/gravel that defy gravity. I know we have sandstone but it's not the same. But sticky sand/gravel would be green on one side (that would be covered up anyways) and stick to blocks to not be affected by gravity.

They already stick like lego until you break the block.
