I would like to discuss with you the idea of another water mob besides the squid. This mob will be based of a "Kraken" (A very large octopus that is knowen to attack boats, more info: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kraken) type thing but not to that size scale. This mob (unlike the squid) will be aggressive but have a very low rate of spawning. They will spawn at night in deeps places of the sea (5 blocks). The spawn rate between them and squids will be something like 5-10%. These will drop Kraken eggs, these eggs will heal 2 hearts, but there are 5 eggs in a clump. The monsters will attack boats and attempt to drown you, they will do this by pulling you under and the only way will be able to get out is by cutting your way out (maybe 4 swipes?), anyway please discuss, voice your ideas/opinions.
UPDATE: Another thought I've had is maybe (like slimes) they will spawn to a different size ratio each time, what will determine this is the mass of the water they spawn in, e.g If they spawn in a lake, they spawn smaller than one that has spawned in the ocean.
It's a decent idea, but I think any new mobs should be creative: Instead of having three new varieties of cow, we could have some different mobs (Bobcat, Squirrel, Bear).

I like the idea of them being rare, like slimes. But the drop rate may be to high, also does anyone have any other ideas for drops?
Yeah, and it could grow by giving it raw fish or something?
