Not to be mean, my good sir, but you provided no detail whatsoever.
What would be the bonuses of throwing these items?
Would they be destroyed?
How would you throw?
How could he implement? How hard would it be?
Pretty much that post.
I think that I should expand on this, seeing as I love to do that! :wink.gif:
It would be somewhat odd to just be able to throw a stick, so you should have to right click on the respecting wolf first. Then, you're ready to throw it! It should be thrown somewhat like an egg or snowball, but with a higher and longer parabola. It should make a different sound than an arrow (And so should snowballs or eggs :/ ), and, more importantly, fly slower. Are you trying to make your dog pass out? You don't want to use Steve's magical arm to chuck the thing like an arrow!
The dog would probably, to avoid making a "Dog with Stick" texture for the mob, just hover the item as if it were on the ground, but slightly below it's mouth. I think that that would look nice as well as be easy to code.
I don't think this is the type of thing to make have a purpose, it would really just be for fun. :smile.gif:

heheeh....thanks for the replies. I'm just an idea guy on this one - implementation I'll leave to the programmer.
Why do it? Why not is the answer....
Would it destroy the item? Sure. Or not. Doesn't matter....the idea is to play with the wolves.
Probably clicking first on the "target" wolf then throwing the object with another click is how I would functionally implement it. You throw an egg already....so select an item, "target" the wolf somehow, and then turn and throw the item the way the egg is thrown.
Details are for programmers. I want something to keep my kids busy in-game. And the wolves.
Spelling (11/12) - Spelling is passing. There's a bit of work, but nothing to really worry about.
Grammar (10/12) - Grammar is decent. Could use SOME work, but not really important.
Formatting (7/12) - This is where things go to pot. We need MORE information. MORE! Not Notch, but us.
Originality (1/13) - This has been suggested before. Please search in the future. Thanks!
Thematic (13/13) - This does fall in-line with the Minecraft theme, though...
Usefulness (5/14) - I don't find this terribly useful. Though I will not say no to a diversion from survival, I don't see this as dire important.
Open2crit? (8/12) - Overall respectful toward critics. Not entirely interested in repairing problems.
Approval (6/12) - Approval of this is split. Improving OP may improve approval.
OVERALL - Decent suggestion. Work on the usefulness aspect, and put a lot more detail. We need DETAIL.
THAT's why they're whining. They want to play.

that would be cool :smile.gif:
That sounds rather suggestive. Like hell am I letting you near my wolf.
