We've seen red stone and red torches being used to create all sorts of cool and creative contraptions. But if you're technically challenged or uninterested (like me) and/or have tons of red stone sitting around in your chests (like me) then my suggestion is for you.
When mining say a lapis lazuli or glow stone they break apart into several smaller pieces. Red stone does this too. When crafting with the lapis or glow dust you're able to create a blue block or glow stone. Red dust does not do this.
But it should.
We should be excited to see red stone while mining or in caves, not leave it lying all the place because there's so much and it's practically useless. We should be able to put 4 or 9 (I don't how much it takes to create those wired red stone blocks) red dust on the crafting table and create a sparkly and/or glowing red stone. Imagine that paired with an obsidian castle? = Extreme evil 3>:biggrin.gif:
Already suggested several times, with varying levels of usefulness. You wanna know what I do when I got too much redstone? Make a doorbell that plays the Mario theme or something.
