I couldn't find a suggestion like this anywhere, so i'm starting a new topic.
As of now, dungeons are single rooms with a spawner and a few chests, sometimes containing loot not found anywhere else. Quite a find, but not quite deserving of the title "dungeon" IMO. One of the games that inspired Minecraft from the start is called "Dungeon Keeper", which consisted of multiple rooms, each with a different role (treasure room, lair, etc). My idea is to make dungeons vary in size, from single rooms to entire labyrinths, bigger dungeons providing more, better loot, as well as more and stronger opponents. I can picture the player digging out a mineshaft and breaking through into a hallway clearly not natural and definitely not made by him/her. If goblins ever get implemented, they would be perfect additions to dungeons (along with zombies, skeletons and spiders).
