A post regarding some possible content in the 1.7 update may have some Terraria inspired content, because Notch has been playing that game a lot.
And I honestly have never played Terraria before, but I have seen videos. (So if I have some options in the poll that are not in Terraria I apologize.)
Which features from Terraria would you like to see in the new update?
Terraria doesn't have any kind of EXP or any of that stuff, the way you "level up" is with equipment: better weapons, better armor, items with unique abilities, mana, etc. So that would need to be changed.
As far as enemies found specifically in caves, I like the idea. It would work quite well in Minecraft, in my opinion, having cave-specific mobs like bats or even something unique like tunnel mites (a suggestion by rhino...something or other, can't remember his full name xD).
Personally, I don't think Minecraft needs more weapons/armor, but if Notch adds more minerals that will inevitably happen.
I want to have blocks remember how much they have been mined, so you could mine a block halfway and it would stay that way, so it would take half the time of mining it to finish mining it, and some people might like the look of blocks that have been partially mined.

Terraria and Minecraft are too different for these possible suggestions to work. Why?
Minecraft is based upon building, exploration, and simplicity. Noone buys Minecraft thinking "Imma go whoop some skeleton ass!"; they buy it because of the beautiful, infinite landscapes, or because of some awesome building they saw in a video. But what truely defines Minecraft, in my opinion, is its utter simplicity. There are no 'fancy' weapons, there are no spells, there are no stats; there is only a sword, a bow, generic armor and generic tools.
Terraria is the exact opposite: it is based on combat and the intricacies of what gear is optimal for what situation. While the landscapes can be interesting, they are finite, and are nowhere near as awe-inspiring as Minecraft's are. They never will be, due to them being 2D. As such, Terraria's development will focus on adding more foes, bosses, weapons and armor.
I'm not saying Terraria isn't a good game, I have both games and both are great. But they really are not similar enough to bring the features in your polls to minecraft.
Though, the partial mining of a block is a nice aspect of terraria that could come to minecraft. I really do hate mining obsidian and accidentally letting go of the mouse button for a split second..
Personally i would like water to behave more realistically as it does in terraria, I understand this would make waterfalls likely impossible but it's a good trade off i think.
Also terraria has npc's that give you access to unique items only after you shelter them by building them a room with light, table and a chair. This aspect would be pretty interesting.
For example a merchant that sells gods you can't craft, or a alchemist that makes explosives so you needn't rely on creeper corpses, or a farmer that can capture and breed cows/pigs or tend to farms millenare style.
Teh bloodmoon is a cool concept but easily cheatable as you only need 1 block of dirt to prevent zombies from busting down the door.
The mirror that gets you back to base would be a great addition.
Also if there are dirt ceilings in minecraft it would be insteresting if hanging vines could grow down from them.
The alchemy aspect might make for an interesting direction allowing us to use glass to brew potions with mushrooms or once it's introduced batwings etc.
