Wait. How do we reach it? If it's on the ceiling.
I also find all your ideas redundant. Arrows that fly farther? Just get closer.
Okay, you can't be serious with your "just get closer" argument. The hole point of these arrows is to increase range.
On topic: I don't like the idea all that much. I like the idea of a creature that lives in the ceiling of the nether, but not that it is a creature that looks like an upside down human. I'd prefer some kind of insectoid creature that tries to drop down on you, but only if it can survive the fall.
I also don't like the idea of "nether arrows". I would prefer a crossbow or primitive firearm (unfortunately the community hates firearms) that has an almost straight projectile trajectory and does more damage.
it would be better if it was more netherish like a demon or a burnt corpse and maybe it could just stick to the walls and ceiling so there're easier to fight and find and why would the kill ghasts there're nether mates they should be nice to all but you. the arrows are unnecessary.

I never said it WAS human, I simply said it used the same model, Like zombies, And pigmen.
As for the crossbow argument, EVERYONE has suggested guns and crossbows, Notch has yet to have added them...
So I figured he'd find it easier to just make an arrow that flies further.
@ those saying "why does it kill ghasts?
Because it hates everything, Especially ghasts...
Ghasts always be floating up to the ceiling and pissing them off...
If a pigman went up there they'd kill it too, Ceiling dwellers are just mean like that!

"Only a few find the way, Some don't recognize it when they do. Some don't ever want to..." ~Cheshire cat.
This is just FAIL. It's altogether worthless, because GHASTS are hostile, and don't float up to the ceiling. Unless, of course, you're making it the Aenther. Useless.

The ceiling walker's a mob that lives on the ceiling of the nether.
It shares the same model as a human only it's upside down. (Since it walks on the ceiling...)
What does it do?
It's highly agressive to ghasts, It shoots any ghast close enough to it with its bow.
It also behaves completely opposite to normal gravity, Meaning it falls up, So you'll never see them on the floor...
What does it drop?
3 to 6 nether arrows.
What do nether arrows do?
They fly 2 or 3 times as far as normal arrows and do as much damage as an iron sword, Meaning it takes 3 to kill people instead of 5!
Why aren't nether arrows op?
Because, Unless the nether has a low ceiling, You'll probably never get to fight a ceiling walker...
Why aren't ceiling walkers op?
Because, They're in the nether, They're somewhat uncommon, And their aggro range is only twice that of a skeleton.
Your thoughts?

A mob that walks on ceilings is kind of cool though.

Why does it help us by killing Ghasts? That's crummy.
Why would measly arrows pack the same punch as an iron sword? That's nonsensical.
All around meh.
The Zombie Pigmen will kill Ghasts for you. They're just horribly equipped to actually pull it off.
